Do It for P
The "Do it for P" movement and civic group empowers individuals and families in underserved communities by focusing on overdose and addiction response, providing resources, and fostering healing to prevent fentanyl poisoning and opioid overdoses.
Who is "P"?
“P” stands for Pilar Melvin, whose life continues to inspire the work of the "Do It For P" Civic Group. Pilar passed away in 2024 following an accidental fentanyl exposure. To honor her memory, this movement was created to empower women through addiction response, education & resources, and to foster healing.

Our Mission
To reduce fentanyl-related harm and opioid overdoses by supporting individuals and families in underserved communities with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to protect lives and foster healing.
